Peter McKenna and Sean McKenna join Bruce Churchill in
the management group at Western Marketing Inc. in Kamloops,
BC. The Company forms a 3PL division and secures its first
Non-Resident Outdoor/Action Sports client, Ride Snowboards
Inc.

Continued focus on the Outdoor and Action Sports market
leads to relationships with Quiksilver Inc. and Arnette
Optics. Service Department added and with it the ability
to perform product repairs and other services for the consumer
or retail shop.

WMI sells the distribution division
to the McKenna's and Churchill who form NRI Distribution
Inc. The entire operation moves into 9,000 square feet
and employs 5 including the owners. First electronic communications
established with clients for order exchange. NRI establishes
relationships with key freight partners who service major
inbound lanes such as the I5 corridor.

100% in Kamloops and opens in Ontario. Enters Outdoor
market with Black Diamond Equipment. NRI also signs first
ski company, Volant.

IT department develops its own Integrated Shipping
System supporting FedEx,
Purolator, Canpar and Canada Post – automates
all shipping and electronic confirmation processes

for rate shopping by service. NRI adds 24 hour/day,
7 day/week service during peak times.

meets full vendor compliance with Canadian Tire
and Sears. NRI expands Web Tools
to include reports of Dated Inventory, Unconfirmed
Orders (CODs) and Condensed Order Status, as well
as the ability to view Order Header and
Details. NRI becomes a member of the Canadian Border
Services
Agency’s “Partners in Protection” (equivalent
to the American C-TPAT program).
