IT Department continues to play an essential role in the
success of NRI and our partners.
Flexibility
and an understanding that we need to solve your problems is the
foundation of our IT philosophy. Simply tell us what you need
or what you are able to give us and we will write an interface
to meet your needs, and be prepared to exchange that data in
any way you choose. 
Though some of our partners use the same EAP to manage their organization,
we have found that each have specific and individual needs. We therefore
expect to write custom import, export and interface programs for
every
account. We will not try to make you bend to meet our needs, but
will
use our experience to ensure we both get all of the data required
to enable
us to manage the movement of your goods accurately and efficiently.
NRI’s
IT Department has developed, and continues to modify our
programs to enhance operational efficiency and access to
information – thus enabling NRI and you to respond
quickly and effectively to your needs. Automated electronic
data exchange ensures speed and accuracy. The development
of our scanning processes and Integrated Shipping System
(with carrier rate shopping) further ensures that the right
product goes to the right place, the right way at the right
price. Our
secure website enables you to get information on order status,
inventory, or shipping information at any time. If you need
information that may not be readily available from your system
or ours, the NRI IT department can provide you with custom
reports and enquiry programs based on virtually any of the
information we track within our vast database. The
IT department is an integral part of the operation of NRI
and we are committed to using all of the resources needed
to ensure continued success of our partners. NRI
runs on a Sun Solaris network overlaid with a Windows network.
All facilities are connected using a VPN and operate in real
time. Our software was developed in house using Progress
and our secure web interface give you access to live data
in real time.
